New Delhi: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has issued a stern warning to the global community, asserting that India possesses the capability to take massive risks and deliver severe blows to its adversaries regardless of the consequences. In a strong message regarding the national defence posture, he clarified that the generosity and tolerance of India should never be mistaken for weakness.
These powerful remarks come from his first ever public interview regarding Operation Sindoor. Doval shared his insights in the upcoming two part Discovery documentary series titled Declassified Operation Sindoor. During the show, he opened up about the crucial decision making process and the firm military resolve that drove the historic eighty eight hour military operation.
Detailing the strategic goals of the mission, the National Security Advisor explained that the primary objective was strictly defined from the beginning. The armed forces were tasked with destroying enemy terror camps across the border, specifically targeting the groups responsible for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed numerous innocent lives on April 22 last year.
Operation Sindoor was officially launched in the early hours of May 7. In a swift and coordinated move, Indian forces conducted precision strikes on multiple terror infrastructure sites located in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The targeted military action quickly escalated into a tense standoff as Pakistan launched counter offensives. The unprecedented military conflict between the two nuclear armed neighbours lasted for nearly eighty eight hours. Hostilities finally came to a halt on the evening of May 10 after both sides reached a mutual understanding to cease military action on land, air, and sea.
