San Francisco: Moving beyond basic audio playback and regular calling, US-based tech company Plaud has introduced a revolutionary True Wireless Stereo (TWS) product tailored for modern productivity. Named ‘Plaud One’, these new earphones integrate artificial intelligence (AI) with built-in eSIM functionality, allowing them to operate independently of a smartphone or computer.

While they closely resemble standard everyday earbuds, the Plaud One offers advanced voice control, native call recording, and real-time AI-powered transcription. According to the company, the integrated eSIM enables users to issue AI commands and manage connectivity seamlessly on the go. However, the exact technical mechanics of initiating direct cellular calls exclusively through the buds have not yet been fully detailed by the manufacturer.

On the hardware front, the Plaud One is equipped with robust 12mm drivers and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to ensure a premium, distraction-free audio experience. Plaud claims that the device features highly sensitive microphones capable of capturing crystal-clear voice recordings from a distance of up to 5 meters. Battery performance is another major highlight for power users, with a single full charge delivering up to 25 hours of continuous conversation recording.

The company emphasized that the primary differentiator for the Plaud One lies in its sophisticated software ecosystem. Rather than just playing music, the earbuds serve as a digital workplace assistant. After transcribing a conversation, lecture, or meeting, the integrated AI agent can automatically process the text and sync the data directly with popular enterprise productivity tools, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack. This positions the device as a highly effective tool for professionals who need hands-free meeting minutes and streamlined task management.

Currently launched exclusively in the United States, the Plaud One is available for pre-order at a price of $249. The company has announced that shipping will commence shortly. Plaud plans to carefully gauge the initial consumer response and adoption rates in the American market before making a final decision regarding a broader international rollout.
