Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav emerged from a high-stakes Mahagathbandhan meeting with a bold vision: a job revolution that reaches every household.
Addressing reporters at his residence on Tuesday evening, Tejashwi declared November 14, 2025 — a day of vote counting— as Bihar’s date with destiny. “The people of Bihar are set to script history,” he proclaimed. “This day will be etched in golden letters. From that moment, unemployment will be uprooted, ensuring every home buzzes with employment.”
The conclave, attended by Congress and allied leaders, sealed near-final consensus on seat-sharing amid the two-phase polls on November 6 and 11. Sources reveal RJD staking claim to 130-135 seats, Congress eyeing 55-58, Left parties 30-35, and Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) 14-18.
Yet, tensions simmer: Sahni, fresh from the talks, asserted on Wednesday that internal deals are locked, with an official announcement imminent. He didn’t shy from ambition, staking a firm claim for the Deputy CM post. “It’s final — I’ll be the one,” he quipped, dismissing VIP’s earlier demand for 40-60 seats in favour of the 12-20 on offer.
Tejashwi’s rhetoric underscores the alliance’s anti-BJP crusade, vowing a “change” that transforms Bihar’s fortunes. Given the NDA’s internal turmoil, this united front has the potential to significantly influence the outcome of the 243-seat battle.
