Mumbai: Team India’s 15-man squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ajit Agarkar, the chief selector, along with captain Rohit Sharma, Saturday announced the team composition.
Shubman Gill has been named as vice captain, with Rohit Sharma continuing to be the Indian side’s captain. It also features some big names in Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer, along with emerging talents Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant. Notable fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been taken out of the final selection list after an injury crisis.
India, with Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh in Group A, will start their campaign against Bangladesh on 20 February. Their final group stage match against New Zealand is on 2 March, and the highly anticipated clash with archrivals Pakistan is on 23 February.
