New Delhi: For those who are spoilt for choice and find it difficult to choose from their array of sauces, breads, and dips, Subway has made the task easier. Acknowledging the ordeal of customers in a light-hearted manner, the fast food brand recently released an advertisement online.
The 30-second ad was shared on the official handle of the chess legend Viswanathan Anand. In the clip, the grandmaster is seen placing an order at a Subway outlet. The staff member fires multiple questions at him about the kind of bread, the veggies to be used in the filling, and the kind of sauces and condiments required to be used. Anand starts thinking of it like a game of chess and started sweating on hearing the queries from the Subway staffer. “Even a genius can find it hard to order a sub,” said the tagline in the advertisement.
The video ad by Subway featuring Viswanathan Anand has gone viral, receiving over 774k views and 11.1k likes. A flurry of reactions also poured into the comments section. Internet showered appreciation for the creativity in the ad and how well it was scripted. “Now I can put ‘I have ordered Subway without feeling anxious’ in my resume,” wrote one user. “I think this is one of the most lovable ads. I used to avoid subways ’cause I could never figure out how to order,” said another one.
