Mumbai: The first week of Salman Khan’s highly anticipated reality show, Bigg Boss 20, has officially wrapped up with its inaugural “Sunday Ka Vaar” episode streaming to eager audiences. While the episode lacked massive fireworks, it delivered a healthy mix of task-based drama, unexpected romantic proposals, and a significant setback for one of the housemates.
The episode kicked off with host Salman Khan introducing the “Paisa Vasool and Gussa Vasool” task, spotlighting Bhojpuri actress Amrapali Dubey. Acting as an advisor, Amrapali was asked to categorize her fellow contestants. She placed Tanmay, Young, Asif, Rohaid, Love Gill, Mary Kom, and Gullu in the ‘Paisa Vasool’ (entertaining) category. Conversely, she relegated Mahhi Vij, Uditi Singh, Arishfa, Aman Gandhi, Kazi, Isha Rikhi, Kanika Mann, and Reeti Tiwari to the ‘Gussa Vasool’ (annoying) group, reasoning that the audience might not be showering love on the latter category.
Retaliating against the placement, television actress Mahhi Vij quickly turned the tables, placing Amrapali herself in the ‘Gussa’ category. Mahhi openly accused Amrapali of spending her entire day gossiping with Love Gill. Lightening the mood, Salman Khan then tasked both Mahhi and Amrapali with mimicking their co-contestant, Kanika Mann.
Romance also briefly bloomed in the house when Salman asked Gullu to propose to Kanika Mann in English. Initially, the chemistry seemed flat, with Kanika remarking, “I did the right thing by rejecting him on the first day.” However, Salman intervened, turning it into a musical moment. The duo eventually danced together, with Mahhi and Young declaring them a “hit pair.”
In a fun segment where Mahhi and Young ran a mock ‘Marriage Bureau’, Rohaid was asked to choose a partner. Though Amrapali Dubey was initially suggested for him, Rohaid explicitly rejected her in favour of Love Gill. Surprisingly, Amrapali took the rejection well and appeared happy with the outcome.
The episode concluded with serious stakes regarding the nominations. Love Gill, Arishfa, Kanika Mann, and Uditi Singh were in the danger zone. Salman Khan announced that while Kanika Mann was safe from elimination, Uditi Singh had received the lowest number of audience votes. Consequently, Uditi lost one of her “lives” in the game, tightening the competition moving forward.
