Kolkata: The internal rebellion within the Trinamool Congress has intensified after senior party leader and Member of Parliament Kalyan Banerjee launched a blistering attack on General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee. Expressing his deep frustration over the ongoing organizational collapse, Kalyan categorically blamed Abhishek and his Camac Street office for ruining the entire party. The explosive remarks highlight the rapidly widening rift within the ruling political faction in West Bengal.

Speaking to the media, Kalyan Banerjee severely criticized the controversial personal assistant of Abhishek, Sumit Roy. He alleged that numerous grassroots workers and local leaders, who previously coordinated with Roy at the Camac Street office to run the party organization, are now facing immense pressure from the state police. According to Kalyan, these loyal workers are being systematically threatened with false implications in the pending Salboni case if they refuse to join the rebel camp currently led by Ritabrata Banerjee.

The senior leader aggressively stated that the Camac Street ecosystem has ruined everything for the Trinamool Congress. He pointed out the deep irony that the very leaders who once enjoyed maximum privileges by flaunting their close association with Abhishek are now the loudest voices rebelling against him. Kalyan claimed that these opportunistic leaders committed various political wrongdoings over the years under the false assumption that the Camac Street office would always protect them from legal consequences.

The veteran parliamentarian also directed his intense anger toward the political consultancy firm IPAC. He accused the agency of completely destroying the traditional political culture of the party by prioritizing corporate consultants over dedicated grassroots workers. Kalyan reminded the media that when he previously criticized IPAC, nobody stood by his side. He firmly noted that those who blindly elevated IPAC and used the agency to establish themselves as prominent leaders are entirely responsible for the current internal crisis.

This dramatic public outburst comes at a time when the Trinamool Congress is battling its most severe internal crisis since its inception. With dozens of elected representatives reportedly breaking away, these direct allegations against the central leadership have further fueled the ongoing political turmoil across the state.
