Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with the party leadership launching a major organisational push focused on strengthening booth-level networks across the state.

At a high-level meeting held at the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh headquarters on Tuesday, 98 district presidents along with senior office-bearers participated in discussions centred on election preparedness and grassroots mobilisation. The meeting was chaired by state BJP president and Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary.

Addressing party leaders, Chaudhary said the BJP must work with the goal of ensuring victory at every booth. He stressed that areas where the party is already strong should witness an even bigger margin of victory, while special campaigns should be launched in weaker booths to improve the organisation’s reach.

He also targeted the Opposition, alleging that rival parties lacked vision, policy and direction. BJP workers, he said, should directly engage with voters and expose what he described as “misinformation and confusion” being spread by opponents.

During the meeting, BJP state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh reviewed the verification process of booth committees and outlined a detailed organisational calendar. Under the new structure, district, mandal, shakti kendra and booth-level meetings will now be held every month in a phased manner.

The BJP leadership also emphasised involving experienced workers while simultaneously bringing new supporters into the organisation. Party leaders said booth presidents’ meetings would soon be conducted at the Assembly constituency level as part of a broader “micro-management” strategy aimed at securing an even bigger mandate in 2027.
