Chennai/ Delhi: Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay, who is simultaneously navigating a high-voltage political debut and the release troubles of his last film as a full-time actor, Jan Nayagan (Jan Naayagan), arrived in Delhi on Monday in a private jet that has become a major talking point among fans.
The actor was in the national capital to appear before the CBI in connection with the Karur stampede case.
Vijay, who is transitioning from star actor to full-fledged politician, flew in on a chartered aircraft operated by Fly SBS Aviation. According to media reports, he frequently uses the company’s jets for film shoots as well as political rallies and campaign tours.
He has often been spotted travelling in a VT-PCR Gulfstream G200, a luxury business jet known for its range and comfort. Reports suggest that renting this aircraft for a single day can cost around ₹8 crore, underlining the premium nature of his travel arrangements.
Online data reveals that Fly SBS Aviation charges steep prices for leasing its charter fleet. The cost of light jets is estimated to be between ₹15 crore and ₹40 crore, medium jets between ₹40 crore and ₹80 crore, while heavy jets can go from ₹80 crore up to nearly ₹250 crore.
Vijay, whose full name is Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar, remains at the centre of national attention due to the convergence of his film’s certification delay, CBI questioning, and political moves, while his high-end flying style further enhances his larger-than-life public image.
