New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced an central contracts for the period October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. They have picked 34 players with prominent inclusions like Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer. The central contract list also has debutants.
-BCCI Central Contracts Split into Four Tiers
Players are ranked and grouped into four tiers. The contract then offers an annual salary based on the grade a player is placed in. Grade A+ players will get ₹7 crore per year, and grade A players will earn ₹5 crore per year. ₹3 crore for Grade B players and ₹1 crore each for Grade C players.
Grade A+ players: The biggest earners in the Central Contract
One of the A+ grade players, the top tier of the central contract, is also on four. They include Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.
A Grade: Who Made The List?
A grade: Six Players consist of Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Shami and Rishabh Pant.
Shreyas Iyer Returns to B Grade
Shreyas Iyer, who recently missed selection, is back in the B grade on the updated contract list. Four other players, including Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, are in the B grade along with Iyer.
Grade C: 19 Players, Ishan Kishan on the list
Ishan KIshan is one of 19 players slotted into C grade. Included in this grade are Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Akashdeep, Varun Chakravarthy, and Harshit Rana.
