New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, Spoke on Thursday about Delhi assembly elections, the Yamuna ‘poisoning’ claim, the future of the INDIA bloc, and more. Here are a few of the issues he addressed.
Kejriwal, while talking about the INDIA alliance, said that alliances are formed and broken. Asked about the future of the party with Congress, Kejriwal said, “My future is with my wife. I have NOT married Rahul Gandhi.
You are asking me what I am going to do with Rahul Gandhi. My future is with my wife. I have not made any relationship with Rahul Gandhi, so no future (relationship) with him,” Kejriwal told ABP News in an exclusive interview.
When AAP’s national convener was asked about Rahul Gandhi’s recent criticism of AAP, he said, “You should ask him what his compulsions are. There had to have been something. The BJP does worse than Rahul Gandhi , so they must have had compulsions since the Delhi elections are being held in the BJP ki bhasha.”
In the run-up to the Delhi assembly polls, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has blamed the AAP government for the alleged liquor scam. He has called Kejriwal an ‘architect of the liquor scam’ and reminded him of his ‘sheesh mahal’ comment. Challenging Kejriwal’s ‘poisoning’ Yamuna claim, Gandhi said the AAP convenor had not honoured his five-year-old promise of drinking river water.
Kejriwal, on the other hand, hailed Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party and Mamata Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress for backing AAP over the Congress and living up to the spirit of the opposition alliance, the INDIA bloc.
On Thursday, AAP’s campaign in the national capital had Akhilesh Yadav also joining the bandwagon. Kejriwal said that the BJP would close all AAP government schemes if they came to power, such as free electricity, free buses for women, mohalla clinics and free schools.
