Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, famed for both his fan following and blockbuster hits, broke out in such a tizzy while shooting the movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan.’. During the shooting of the film in Chandni Chowk, Delhi (in 2015), when the crowd went berserk and almost gobbled up the overhead location of the shoot, it is a tribute to the abiding popularity of Shah Rukh Khan.
In an interview with Mashable India, director Kabir Khan recounted the dramatic moment, saying the crew had no inkling of the chaos coursing outside. “In the narrow lane, we were shooting when the assistant commissioner of police came up to us and said we were surrounded by some 25,000 fans.” ‘People came to know that Salman Khan was doing shooting here, so they gathered, and there was no way we could have left the place,’ he said.
Police had to arrange decoy vehicles to be able to safely extract Salman from the scene. So we called fake Innova cars; Salman had to sit in one of them, and we found an alternate route to get him out,” he continued. Salman’s stardom, Kabir Khan had to add, was such that ‘without this plan, we wouldn’t have been able to leave.’.

Salman Khan is also slated to star in the film ‘Sikandar’ opposite Rashmika Mandanna, which is yet to be released this Eid. Khan is returning to the big screen with this film, as his previous one did not do well at the box office.
