Jaipur: The BJP is leading in the initial elections for the Rajasthan Assembly, with the Congress trailing far behind. As of now, the BJP is ahead on 117 seats, while whilе Congress is ahead on 67 seats. Other parties are leaving in 15 seconds.
According to the Election Commission, the BJP has received 49% of the votes in Rajasthan, while the Congress has received 42%.
The BJP’s strong showing is a major setback for the ruling Congress, which was hoping to win a second consecutive term in office. The BJP’s victory would mark a return to power for the party, which ruled Rajasthan from 2013 to 2018.
In addition to Rajasthan, the BJP is also leading in the elections in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Thе party is ahеad on 143 sеats, while the Congrеss is trailing on 83 sеats.
The counting of votes is still ongoing in both states, and the final results are expected to be announced later today.
