Currently, the Chinese maker with its aggressively priced phones has the leading market share of 28 per cent while Samsung is at 24 per cent, according to report by Counterpoint Research. One of the primary reasons for this has been affordability.
Targeting millenials, Samsung on Monday launched their online-exclusive models Galaxy M-Series with an ‘India-first’ approach. The two phones launched, M10 and M20, have impressive specs such as Infinity-V displays, face-unlock and up to 5000 mAh battery.
The price Samsung Galaxy M10 in India is Rs 7,990 for 2GB RAM/16 GB storage and Rs 8,990 for 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The M20 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage version is priced at Rs 10,990 while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage version costs Rs 12,990.
