Peace Talks Pay Off: India And China Withdraw Troops From Ladakh’s Hotspots!

Ladakh: Having reiterated their commitment to the ‘LAC peace,’ Indian and Chinese troops are pull back their forces in Eastern Ladakh. Both are pulling back forces from the surgically sensitive areas of Depsang and Demchok, and removing structures erected during the four-year face off.

Hear say;Tents, etc structures are being remove both by gvs & patrols and another rumour is that patrols will commence in the next couple of days. The disengagement follows on an agreement made on 21, October expected to solve the issue in a bigger picture after the June 2020 Galwan Valley face-off which escalated into the military stand-off.

It started with local level commander meetings earlier this week and is expected to receive final endorsement before being fully implemented. Tensions have also started de-escalating as both reinforcements started withdrawing troops from previously forward deployed locations besides reducing infrastructure. The Indian side is now back west of the Charding Nullah in Demchok while the Chinese side has pulled back east of the same feature.

People Representation in Lok Sabha Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and S. Jaishankar are happy with the progress and said that soon both sides will be able to patrol as before before the tensions rise. This agreement is regarded as important to be able to bring back order in a place that has tension since the June 2020 Galwan Valley incident.
