New Delhi: The NEET-UG 2026 paper leak investigation has taken a sharper turn after a video and handwritten “guess paper” allegedly linked to RCC Coaching head Shivraj Motegaonkar came under the scanner of the Central Bureau of Investigation.

According to the investigation details cited in the report, Motegaonkar allegedly conducted a mock test at his coaching institute on April 27, days before the actual NEET examination held on May 3. Investigators are now examining claims that several questions from that mock test appeared in the real exam.

The CBI told the court that there is suspicion that the accused may have received sensitive information related to the questions around 10 days before the examination. The agency has also alleged that Motegaonkar was part of an organised network involved in leaking and circulating NEET-UG 2026 question papers before the exam.

As per the agency’s allegations, the accused conspired with others, including people linked to the National Testing Agency, to obtain leaked question papers and answers, distribute handwritten copies to several individuals, and later destroy evidence. Digital devices, notes and records are now being examined as part of the probe.

The case has once again raised serious questions over exam security, coaching networks and the pressure faced by lakhs of medical aspirants. On social media, students and parents have expressed anger, calling it an “organised exam leak system”. Investigators are now trying to identify others who may have been part of the alleged network.
