Narendra Modi’s Fiery Jammu Speech Targets Congress and Champions BJP

Jammu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jammu today to address a fervent rally, reaffirming his commitment to national security and critiquing opposition parties. The event marked a significant moment for the BJP as it seeks to consolidate support in the region ahead of upcoming elections.

During his address, PM Modi referenced a pivotal moment in 2016, recalling the surgical strike conducted on the night of 28 September. “Today, as in 2016, we demonstrate that this is a new India – resolute and unwavering. Terrorists know that if anyone dares to threaten our nation, Modi will find them even in the netherworld,” he declared, underscoring the government’s steadfast approach to combating terrorism.

Modi did not hold back in his critique of the opposition, specifically targeting the Congress party. “Today’s Congress is completely in the possession of urban Naxalites. When there is infiltration from abroad, they do not know the reason, but the Congress likes it. They see their vote bank in these elements, yet they mock the suffering of their own people,” he asserted, accusing the party of exploiting unrest for political gain.

Turning to the contributions of Jammu and Kashmir, Modi paid tribute to the region’s sacrifices. “This land has given many children who sacrificed themselves to protect our country. I bow to this land,” he said. Reflecting on the period before the abrogation of Article 370, Modi emphasized the desire of the people for change. “People do not want the same system again, where there is corruption and discrimination in jobs. The people of Jammu and Kashmir no longer desire terror and bloodshed; they seek peace and tranquility.”

Modi articulated a vision for the future, highlighting the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir’s residents. “People here want a bright future for their children, and that is why they desire a BJP government. The last two phases of elections have shown the mood of the people – there has been tremendous voting for the BJP in both phases. The BJP is set to form its first government with an absolute majority,” he stated, signaling strong support for the party in the region.

The Prime Minister’s visit and speech come at a crucial time as the BJP prepares for upcoming assembly elections. Modi’s emphasis on security, development, and governance aims to strengthen the party’s position and address the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir’s populace. The anticipated majority win would mark a significant milestone for the BJP in the region, reflecting the electorate’s trust in its leadership and policies.
