Bhubaneswar: With the annual matric and Plus II examinations in Odisha scheduled to begin from the last week of February and the first week of March respectively, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) have decided to take the following measures for smooth conduct of the examinations.
Mentioned below are the steps taken by the BSE for the annual matric examination
—Seven centres where mass malpractice was reported last year will be scratched.
—There will be about 2750 examination centres.
—Except for 700 centres and 300 nodal centres, there will be no CCTV installation in the remaining centres.
— CCTV will be installed at the centres where mass malpractice was reported last year.
—Apart from the special squad formed by the BSE, three separate squads will be formed at the zonal, district and the department (School and Mass Education) level.
—For the first time, the officials of the School and Mass Education Department will directly monitor the examination.
—Action will be taken against the centre superintendent and the staffs in case of leakage of question papers.
—About 5.43 lakh students will appear for the examination.
The steps taken by the CHSE for the Plus II examination are as follows:
—Five centres where mass malpractice was reported last year will be scratched.
—There will be about 1100 examination centres.
—Installation of CCTVs at all centres will be mandatory.
—Apart from the special squad to be formed by the CHSE, there will be three separate squads at the zonal, district and the department (School and Mass Education) level.
—For the first time, the officials of the School and Mass Education Department will directly monitor the examination.
—Action will be taken against the centre superintendent and the staffs in case of leakage of question papers.
—About 3.52 lakh students will appear for the examination.
