Pune: In a sensational twist to the shocking Ketan Aggarwal murder case, the victim’s father, Vishal Aggarwal, has leveled serious allegations against the family of the prime accused, Siya Goyal. In an exclusive conversation with NDTV, a grieving Vishal Aggarwal claimed that Siya’s family members, including her parents and aunt, might have played a role in the sinister conspiracy to eliminate his 26-year-old son.
Ketan Aggarwal, a young real estate businessman from Pune, was tragically pushed off a 400-foot cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18. The police subsequently arrested his 20-year-old fiancée, Siya Goyal, her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary, and an accomplice named Ritesh Hange.
Speaking out against the horrific crime, Vishal Aggarwal expressed deep anguish and demanded the strictest possible punishment for all those involved. “They have taken away the support of my old age. I will not sit quietly until they are punished. I want a thorough investigation, and whoever is involved in my child’s murder should be hanged,” he stated.
Questioning the motive behind the extreme step, the devastated father said that Siya could have easily broken off the engagement. “If she was having an affair, she could have just told us or sent a photo of herself with that boy from his phone. We would have cancelled the relationship in a second. There was no need to brutally murder my son,” he added, raising suspicions that Siya might have been acting under immense pressure from her family to conceal her secret life.
The controversy has deepened further following the recent filing of a voluminous 5,053-page charge sheet by the Pune Rural Police. The investigation has unearthed startling details, suggesting that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary might have secretly tied the knot at a temple in Rajasthan in December 2025, months before her formal engagement to Ketan in February. Police have recovered a photograph of the couple wearing garlands from a mobile phone and are actively verifying the legal registration of this alleged marriage.
Ketan’s family maintained that they had absolutely no inkling of Siya’s hidden relationship. According to his father, Siya interacted normally with Ketan’s mother and sister on a daily basis and never expressed any reluctance regarding the upcoming November wedding.
While Vishal Aggarwal acknowledged learning about the purported secret marriage through social media, he reiterated his unwavering faith in the judicial system. He has appealed for a fast-track court hearing, hoping the ongoing police probe and the newly filed charge sheet will finally deliver justice for his son.
