India’s COVID-19 Tally Stands At 22,68,676; National Recovery Rate Improves To 69.80%

New Delhi: With 53,601 new cases registered overnight, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 22,68,676 on Tuesday.

Also, 871 people succumbed to the infection across the country in the last 24 hours. The national fatality rate stands at 1.99 per cent taking the fatality count to 45,257.

According to the Union Health Ministry, 69.80 per cent (15,35,744) people have recovered while 28.21 per cent (6,39,929) are still under treatment.

The number of sample testing labs has increased to 1415 including 471 private labs, and 720 Real-time RT PCR based labs including 289 private labs. According to ICMR, the total number of samples tested are 2,52,81,848 including 6,98,290 on Monday.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are the top four states with confirmed coronavirus caseload of more than 50,000.
