Earlier on Friday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said his government would return to power again. In response to that, Soren highlighted the strides his administration has taken in supporting the tribal people, the poor and the neglected in the society. The JMM is not merely a party, it is like a banyan tree where almost three crore people of Jharkhand sleep happily and in obedience, he declared.

A Look Back at 2019 Elections
In the 2019 assembly elections, JMM had fielded candidates for 43 seats while Congress only in 31 seats. JMM bagged more seats with 30 and congress with 16. Out of the total 7 seats they contested for, the RJD has only one seat which is not a good sign for the party in Bihar.

Based on this new alliance approach, the INDIA bloc wants to cement its hold on the Jharkhand market and replicate the tactical cooperation that was first implemented in 2019 but with better performance from all the players in the partnership.
