New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that the post result portal for Class 12 verification and revaluation will open from June 1, 2026. The board had earlier planned to begin the process from May 29, but the schedule has now been revised to ensure a smoother and more transparent application system for students.

The decision comes amid concerns raised by students and parents over technical issues faced during the answer sheet access process. CBSE has said the move is aimed at maintaining the highest standards of evaluation and ensuring a transparent, error free mechanism for students who want to apply for post result services.

Students who have obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books will be eligible to apply for verification or revaluation. The board has clarified that applications will be accepted only through the official portal. Students will need to log in using their roll number and admit card ID, select the required service, choose the subject or specific questions for review, check the details carefully and pay the prescribed fee online.

As per the revised fee structure, students had to pay ₹100 per subject to obtain a scanned copy of the evaluated answer book. The fee for verification of issues observed has been reduced to ₹100, while revaluation will cost ₹25 per question. CBSE has also said that the fee will be refunded if marks increase after revaluation.

According to the report, CBSE had received 4,04,319 applications for scanned copies of answer sheets. Students had sought copies of 11,31,961 answer books, while 8,98,214 answer sheet copies had been made available digitally.

The board has advised students not to panic and to follow the official process carefully. For complaints or technical problems, students can contact the CBSE tele counselling helpline at 1800 11 8004 or write to [email protected].

The revaluation process is significant for students who believe there may be errors in marking, unchecked answers or calculation related issues. However, students have been advised to review their scanned answer sheets properly before submitting any request, as the board will examine only the specific issues raised through the application.
