New Delhi: In a unanimous decision, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has re-elected Arvind Kejriwal as its national convener during the party’s 15th National Council meeting. The crucial virtual session, chaired by Kejriwal himself, saw participation from 330 members who endorsed his continued leadership at the helm of the party.
Alongside Kejriwal’s re-election, the party announced the constitution of a new 23-member National Executive. The organizational restructuring also witnessed key leadership appointments: Pankaj Gupta was chosen as the new National Secretary, while N.D. Gupta will continue serving as the party’s National Treasurer.
The virtual meeting and subsequent announcements were welcomed by senior party leaders across the country. Expressing confidence in the leadership, AAP national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda took to social media to congratulate Kejriwal. “Heartiest congratulations to Arvind Kejriwal ji on being unanimously re-elected as the National Convenor by the newly formed National Council of AAP. Under your guidance, we are ready for every struggle,” Dhanda stated in a post on X.
Political analysts view this unanimous endorsement as a crucial move for the party as it recalibrates its organizational framework to navigate upcoming electoral challenges and strengthen its grassroots presence across various states.
