Patna: Following a high profile controversy involving prominent educators like Khan Sir and Roshan Anand, the Bihar government has decided to relocate all coaching institutes out of the congested areas of Patna in a phased manner. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced that the state is actively developing an organized, dedicated coaching hub outside the main city. This strategic move aims to ease the growing urban pressure on the capital and transform the unregulated clusters of educational centers into a well planned system.
The shifting decision comes in the wake of escalating tensions between prominent coaching operators in the city. On June 4, an incident of vandalism was reported at Khan Global Studies, which subsequently led to the arrest and judicial custody of Gyan Bindu Coaching operator Roshan Anand. The dispute intensified further with police actions, legal proceedings, and a viral social media video involving security personnel, prompting the state administration to intervene and address the chaotic setup of private institutes.
According to the government blueprint, the new educational hub will function as a self contained zone providing top tier facilities for students. Chief Minister Choudhary stated that the specialized zone will integrate quality classrooms, student hostels, tight security, and efficient transport networks. Senior officials noted that this relocation project is part of a larger, long term urban development strategy designed to promote structured growth and eliminate unplanned commercial bottlenecks within Patna.
Beyond the coaching hub, the Chief Minister outlined several massive infrastructure plans for the state capital, including the development of a grand new township sprawling across 66,000 acres. He also directed civic authorities to ensure immediate pre-monsoon repairs of roads and drainage channels. Emphasizing environmental sustainability, the state administration urged residents to swiftly link their household discharge lines to the city sewerage network so that wastewater can be treated properly before entering the Ganga river.
The shifting of private institutes is expected to bring immense relief to local residents by reducing traffic congestion in institutional areas.
