New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the re-examination for NEET UG 2026 will be conducted on June 21. The decision comes after several candidates reportedly faced disruptions and irregularities during the earlier examination process at select centres.

According to the official update, only eligible candidates affected during the previous examination will be allowed to appear in the re-test. The agency is expected to release detailed guidelines, city intimation slips and admit cards shortly on its official website.

NEET UG is one of the country’s biggest medical entrance examinations, conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical courses across India. Following complaints from students regarding technical issues and disturbances at some centres, demands for a re-exam had intensified in recent days.

The NTA stated that the re-test is being organised to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all affected aspirants. Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding admit cards, reporting timings and examination instructions.

Officials also urged students not to rely on rumours circulating on social media and to follow only verified notifications issued by the agency.

The examination is expected to be conducted under strict monitoring and security arrangements to avoid any inconvenience to candidates. Results of the re-exam are likely to be announced along with the final evaluation process of NEET UG 2026.
