Lucknow: Mitchell Marsh produced one of the most destructive knocks of IPL 2026 as Lucknow Super Giants piled up a massive total against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a rain-hit clash at the Ekana Stadium.

Powered by Marsh’s stunning century, LSG posted 209/3 in 19 overs, but the revised DLS target handed RCB an even steeper chase of 213 runs.

The Australian all-rounder completely dominated the Bengaluru bowling attack, smashing 111 runs off just 56 balls. His explosive innings included nine boundaries and nine towering sixes, sending the home crowd into celebration mode. Marsh reached his hundred in only 49 deliveries, registering the fastest century ever scored for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL history.

LSG got off to a flying start with Marsh and Arshin Kulkarni stitching together a 95-run opening stand. After Kulkarni’s dismissal, Nicholas Pooran maintained the momentum with a quick 38, while captain Rishabh Pant added a fiery unbeaten 32 off just 10 deliveries to give the innings a dramatic finish.

The match witnessed multiple rain interruptions, forcing officials to reduce the contest to 19 overs per side. Under the DLS method, RCB’s target was revised upward to 213 despite LSG scoring 209.

RCB’s chase began disastrously after Virat Kohli was dismissed for a duck early in the innings, putting immediate pressure on the visitors. However, Rajat Patidar and Devdutt Padikkal attempted a recovery with aggressive strokeplay as Bengaluru tried to stay alive in the contest.
