New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged India’s “Zen-G” youth to embrace risk-taking and innovation, assuring them that the government stands firmly behind their aspirations for a Viksit Bharat (developed India).

Speaking at the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, he said that the success of the youth will define the country’s rise in the coming years.

Marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, PM Modi said the monk’s ideas remain a powerful inspiration for every young Indian even today. He stressed that Vivekananda’s message of living with a “nation first” spirit and ensuring that every effort serves society and the country should guide today’s generation.

The Prime Minister expressed happiness that the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue has, in a short time, evolved into a major platform for direct youth participation in shaping India’s development trajectory. He described the involvement of crores of young people sharing their ideas for nation-building as unprecedented and a sign of India’s growing confidence.

Modi said the government chose a different path by designing one policy and scheme after another, specifically keeping youth at the centre. He credited this approach with giving real momentum to India’s startup revolution and called on young Indians not to shy away from calculated risks, reiterating that the government is with them at every step.
