New Delhi: Craving that smoky tandoori naan or authentic Bihari litti but don’t have a tandoor at home? A clever kitchen hack is winning hearts online, allowing food enthusiasts to recreate these delights using just a simple pressure cooker – turning it into a makeshift oven for perfect results without the fuss.

This easy method saves time and delivers a restaurant-like texture and flavour, making it ideal for home cooks. For naan, start by kneading a soft dough with refined flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and a dash of yoghurt. Rest it for an hour, then roll out small portions.

Preheat the cooker with a steel plate inside to prevent sticking. Brush the rolled naan with water and ghee, place it in, cover without the whistle, and cook on medium flame for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned. Slather more ghee and serve hot – fluffy and charred just right!

For litti, prepare a spicy sattu filling mixed with ajwain, salt, chopped onions, green chilli, oil, and amchur powder. Knead the wheat flour dough with salt and ajwain, stuff it like momos, and steam the balls in a cooker with water on a steaming plate for 20–25 minutes on a low flame until golden and crisp. Dip in ghee for that traditional richness — pair it with chokha for a complete meal.

This viral tip proves you don’t need fancy equipment for indulgent treats. Try it next time for a quick, delicious feast!
