NewDelhi: In a event today, at Parliament House in New Delhi Sharad Pawar from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This meeting occurred amidst protests, by the opposition regarding the comments made by Home Minister Amit Shah about Dr Ambedkar.
The discussion, at Prime Ministers office centered on issues concerning pomegranate farmers as Pawar and two farmers from Phaltan in western Maharashtra shared insights with Modi while presenting him with a box of pomegranates, from their farms.
During their discussion atthe meeting Pawar requested thatthe Prime Minister take action to provide assistance agriculture industry focusing specificallyon addressingthe issues impacting farmers who are currently experiencing notable difficulties.
When asked by journalists if the 98th Marathi Sahityasammelan, at Talkatorastadium in Delhi, in February was a topic of discussion Pawar denied it.He had recently sent an invitation to the Prime Minister to inaugurate this literary gathering.
The experienced politician made it clear that there was no conversation, about Maharashtra politics, during the meeting; the topic of discussion centered on concerns only.
