Lucknow: As it is Diwali time now, it is the turn of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has announced festival benefit, including power round the clocks from October 28 to November 15. The exercise is expected to help citizens to have adequate power supply during the festive season whether in urban or rural places.
Additionally, beneficiaries of the “Ujjwala Yojana” will receive free LPG cylinders before Diwali. CM Yogi has asked government officials to contact the local agencies involved in the distribution of subsidised gas so that those actually entitled to the subsidy can get it before any scheduled festivals. He has also stressed the need for a service frequency boost for buses operating in the rural areas since there tends to be more traffic during holidays.
Yogi commended the interactivity of the authorities by the commoners previous mainly on sister bhai dooj and dussehra festival, the police and administration teams for be alert on the entire festival period. “This is a sensitive time, and the safety and comfort of people must be prioritised,” he added.
