Anmol Bishnoi’s 10 Lakh Reward: NIA’s New Step Against Organised Crime!

New Delhi: The NIA had recently stepped up its operation against the Lawrence Bishnoi gang by offering ₹10 lakh reward cash for the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, brother of prominent criminal Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol who is said to be controlling the gang from outside the country faces charges in several big cases such as murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala and firing near superstar Salman Khan house.

NIA currently has him as one of the most wanted persons on its list as Anmol. Law enforcement agencies say he is currently running the Bishnoi network from Canada and the United States. This year in particular there was a hype linking him to the assassination of Baba Siddique, a political leader and a friend of Salman Khan.

An International Fugitive

Anmol Bishnoi, also referred to as Bhanu, was charged for the high-profile murder of Sidhu Moosewala, a Punjabi singer-turned-politician last year. There are reports that after the incident Anmol was able to leave the country on a fake passport and has regularly been on the move, he was even sighted in Kenya.

The NIA has recently released a lookout notice against Anmol because he is believed to be controlling a number of crimes from other countries. Anmol also admitted to shooting outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments on 14 April this year. He openly admitted to the act through social media, warning Khan that it was his “final warning.”

History of Crime and Evasion

The 33-year-old Bishnoi has been named in more than 18 criminal cases, and before he left for the Big Bash League, he was gaoled in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, but was released on bail in October 2021. His operations have remained very active from one country to another, several in number. His aptitude of running away from the law made him a clever fugitive and it is difficult to arrest him even after interpolations have been issued on him.

Ongoing Expansion of Lawrence Bishnoi’s Criminal Syndicate

This criminal organisation has spread its criminal activities across borders of India, targeting criminal as well as terrorist organisation in Canada and United States. The gang was enlightened in multiple such heinous and planned attacks starting from assassinating Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala to attempting to threaten celebrity Salman Khan.

The NIA has requested people with information about Anmol’s whereabouts to report to them, as they continuously work to remove organised crime groups and protect the community. This comes after NIA conducted multi-state raids recently this year in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi where several arms, ammunition and digital devices were recovered.

However, the measures which have been taken during the investigation are yet to be seen as how much successful it will be in eradicating the Bishnoi Crime Syndicate. NIA that is fully committed to nailing those involved in the organised criminal activities is announcing a reward for Anmol Bishnoi.
