Indian Nationals In China To Register With Embassy For Consular Services

New Delhi: The Indian Embassy in Beijing has issued a new advisory urging all Indian nationals residing in China to register via their online portal. This step is a pre-requisite for accessing future consular services provided by the embassy.

The advisory highlights that the registration process is streamlined through the embassy’s website, eliminating the need for in-person visits. Once the online registration form is completed, applicants will receive an automatically generated file. This file, which includes the applicant’s name, passport number, and a unique registration number, will be available in PDF format for download. Additionally, a copy of the registration will also be emailed directly to the applicant.

The importance of this registration is underscored by its necessity in all future embassy-related transactions. Whether it’s for passport renewal, document verification, police clearance, or civil registrations such as birth and marriage, a copy of the registration document will be mandatory.

Simultaneously, the Indian embassy is actively promoting Indian tea in China, organising events that facilitate interactions between Chinese importers and Indian companies. These initiatives are part of broader efforts to enhance bilateral trade relations and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

Indian citizens living in China are encouraged to comply with the registration requirement promptly to ensure uninterrupted access to essential services and to take advantage of the embassy’s ongoing initiatives.
