Another Journalist Resigns From NDTV; Who All Have Quit Since Adani Group Takeover?

New Delhi: The spate of resignations continue at NDTV since its takeover by the Adani Group.

On Tuesday, senior journalist and anchor Nidhi Razdan announced that she was quitting the television channel after working for more than 22 years.

“After more than 22 years, it is time to move on from NDTV. It has been a wonderful, roller coaster ride but you have to know when to get off. The next couple of weeks are my last. Thank you for the love and support all these years,” Nidhi wrote on Twitter.

Nidhi had briefly left the channel in 2021, before returning in February 2022 with the primetime show ‘No Spin’.

Three days ago, another NDTV stalwart Sreenivasan Jain announced his resignation from NDTV. He was associated with the news channel since 1995.

“Hi all. An amazing, nearly three-decade long run at NDTV comes to an end today. The decision to resign wasn’t easy, but .. it is what it is. More later,” Sreenivasan tweeted.

Earlier, Ravish Kumar, a journalist and author, quit as Senior Executive Editor of NDTV India. He was a very visible man, who hosted programmes like Prime Time, Hum Log, Ravish Ki Report and Des Ki Baat.

NDTV Group president Suparna Singh has also resigned.

NDTV founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy left the company’s board in December 2022.

Adani Group announced a month ago that it has acquired a 27.26% equity stake in NDTV from the Roy couple, who founded the news channel in 1988.

A week before that, NDTV appointed two nominee directors of Gautam Adani-run conglomerate on the board – Sanjay Pugalia and Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan.
