BJP Leader Sambit Patra Leads ‘Justice For Mamita’ Protest In Delhi

Bhubaneswar: The leaders of BJP, led by party’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra, staged protest in front of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue at Patel Chowk in New Delhi on Sunday seeking justice for Odia lady teacher Mamita Meher.

Brahmagiri MLA Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mahapatra and Jayanta Sarangi from Puri joined Patra. The leaders reiterated the party’s demand for a CBI probe into Mamita murder case and arrest of those involved. They also demanded dismissal of Minister of State (Home) Dibyashankar Mishra who has been accused of having links with the main accused.

“Though Odisha government is silent, people across the country are torn apart by the brutal murder,” said Patra. As Odisha government is reluctant to give justice to the deceased lady teacher’s family, BJP is seeking an impartial probe into the matter by CBI.

Patra questioned the Chief Minister’s silence in the matter and said “truth will come out if investigation of the case is handed over to CBI.”
