Xiaomi now has a massive 46 per cent market share online, according to a report released by Counterpoint.
Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi Go accounted for more than two-thirds of the Chinese company’s total online sales in Q2 of 2019.
One of the biggest reasons for this is the growth in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 segment, where Xiaomi has many competitive products, the report notes.
The company also introduced an express delivery program on Mi.com in June. This has helped boost sales as well.
The report pointed out that Oppo’s online brand Realme is now the second largest online player now. Realme C2, Realme 3, and Realme 3 Pro are the phones bringing in numbers for the company.
The online market also has grown by 26 per cent year-on-year in Q2 2019, the report noted.
