New Delhi: United States authorities under the presidency of Donald Trump have deported 205 Indian immigrants who failed to maintain legal immigration status while living in the country. A total of 104 individuals have been verified among the 205 deported Indians. Two hundred and five deportees travel back to India on a C-17 U.S. military aircraft before reaching Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar, Punjab, on Wednesday afternoon.
The state authorities, headed by DGP Gaurav Yadav, are prepared to welcome deported individuals. An identification system and documentation services are available at the airport facility.
The Amritsar administration documentation shows there will be comprehensive cheques on all documents for arriving passengers at the Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport. All immigrants must complete immigration formalities while the authorities judge their backgrounds using thorough criminal record cheques. The airport authorities will hold individuals with criminal records at the airport facilities.
The operation is expected to consume a whole day. The deported individuals possibly engaged in criminal acts before their departure from India towards the United States, according to source information.
The American military aircraft transporting deported Indians will arrive at Amritsar International Airport at 1 PM. The deported group includes 200 Indians whose locations have been specified as 33 in Gujarat and 30 in Punjab, as well as three each from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana and two from Chandigarh and Maharashtra.
The flight marks the initial instance of Trump’s second presidential term to send back illegal Indian immigrants residing in the U.S. News reports indicate that India and the United States share information about 18,000 Indian immigrants who illegally entered the United States.
