Chandigarh: Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh, riding high on his global Aura World Tour, finally addressed the storm brewing around his film Sardaarji 3 and the tragic Pahalgam terror attack during an electrifying concert in Malaysia.

Saluting the Indian Tricolour amid roaring fans, the singer-actor poured his heart out, slamming trolls and drawing a sharp parallel to the ongoing India-Pakistan cricket matches.

Clutching the mic, Diljit declared, “That’s my country’s flag – always respect.” Seeking the crowd’s nod, he delved deeper: “My Sardaarji 3 shoot wrapped in February, way before the Pahalgam attack on April 22 that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists. But now, with India-Pakistan clashes in the Asia Cup, where’s the outrage? We faced boycotts then, yet cricket rolls on.”

The film, featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, sparked fury post the attack and Operation Sindoor strikes on May 7, leading to its India ban and calls to blacklist Diljit by bodies like FWICE.

Released overseas on June 27, it raked in over Rs 11 crore abroad.

“I’ve got answers aplenty, but I swallow the poison – life’s lesson,” he shared, adding, “Media twists Punjab’s image, but we Punjabis never go against the nation.” His words, now viral, underscore resilience amid 2025’s trolls.

Meanwhile, India dominates the Asia Cup, unbeaten and final-bound after thrashing Pakistan twice – once in groups and then in the Super Fours by six wickets. They face Sri Lanka on September 26, while Pakistan’s five-wicket win over the Lankans keeps their hopes flickering.
