New Delhi: A celestial spectacle, in what appeared to be a meteor shower, lit up the night sky over Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
It was seen from Nagpur in Maharashtra and Jhabua and Barwani districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Meteors, also called ‘shooting stars’, are rocky objects in space which sometimes enter the Earth’s atmosphere and burn up in the upper atmosphere, which we see as a dazzling shower of lights streaking through the atmosphere.
