Dispur: Close bandmate Parth Pratim Goswami has unleashed scathing accusations against two key associates following the tragic demise of beloved Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.
In a raw outpouring of grief and rage, Parth has branded manager Siddharth Sharma and band member Shekhar Jyoti Goswami as the architects of “gross negligence” that led to Zubeen’s untimely end, declaring he will “never forgive them until my dying breath.”
Parth recounts a nightmarish sequence of events during Zubeen’s trip to Singapore for the fourth Northeast India Festival, organised by Shyamkano Mahanta’s company. On September 19, the 52-year-old icon met his fate in mysterious circumstances while scuba diving. But Parth paints a darker picture: Siddharth and Shekhar, who shadowed Zubeen like constants, allegedly kept him awake through an all-night party binge despite knowing his epilepsy. “They were aware he hadn’t slept and had been drinking heavily — yet dragged him into the sea for a dive. How could they be so reckless with someone so precious?” Parth fumed, alleging the duo prioritised their revelry over his safety, shattering a family and a fan base that adored him.
The allegations don’t stop there. Parth claimed Zubeen was possibly poisoned in Singapore — a foreign locale allegedly chosen to conceal a conspiracy. The police have arrested Siddharth Sharma and event organiser Shyamkano Mahanta, probing the scuba mishap and potential foul play. As investigations deepen, Parth’s unyielding fury echoes the void left by Zubeen’s soul-stirring voice, demanding justice for a life cut short in the depths.
