Chengalpattu:A major railway accident was narrowly avoided near Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, when a goods train loaded with iron derailed on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m., according to news agency ANI.
The Chennai Harbour-bound train derailed near Chengalpattu, impacting several wagons. Railway officials confirmed that five waggons carrying iron-related items derailed, causing disruption to train movement from south Tamil Nadu to Chennai.
Currently, railway officials are working diligently to remove the derailed waggons and restore normal train operations. The accident was fortunately averted, and no injuries were reported.
