Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a doctor in Uttar Pradesh allegedly killed his wife and two children before taking his own life. The bodies of the four were found at their home in Rae Bareli district on Tuesday.
The doctor, identified as Arun Singh, was a DMO (District Medical Officer) at a government hospital in Lalganj. He lived with his wife Archana, daughter Adiva (12), and son Aarav (4) in the government accommodation on the hospital campus.
According to the police, the bodies of the woman and two children were found lying on the bed, while the doctor’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan. A preliminary investigation suggests that Dr. Singh first killed his wife and children and then committed suicide.
The cause of death is still under investigation, but police believe that Dr. Singh may have been suffering from depression. The doctor’s colleagues told police that he had been acting strangely for some time.
This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the families of the victims.
