Lucknow: In Unnao, a boy recorded himself casually on railway tracks as a train passed over him. In a viral video posted on social media, the 12-year-old is seen lying with his belly on the ground between the tracks, with a mobile phone in hand as a train goes over him. It was shot, and it took 25 seconds to execute the entire stunt. Unnao GRP were alerted after the video went viral and arrested the boy for performing the act.
Viral Reckless Act of Teenager
The incident happened close to Kusumbi Station on the Lucknow-Kanpur railway line. We recognised the teenage boy, Ranjit Chaurasia, from Hasan Ganj Nyotni in Unnao, who filmed himself in white pants and a yellow t-shirt. As the train went by, the teen got to his feet and viewed the train leave. In the video, the background song is “I never break promises; I never fear death” from the Bollywood movie Badshah, and it made its way up the charts online soon after.
GRP Responds As Soon As The Video Goes Viral
The District Police in Unnao swiftly took action after the video spread over different social media apps today, which caused a sensation among common men across the nation. Detectives found the boy and arrested him on Monday. GRP Unnao is in charge. Arvind Pandey said the boy was arrested and booked under serious sections. The video was verified by the authorities and the teenager caught in jail.
It sheds light on the wider and escalating issue of kids putting their lives on the line to partake in viral social media challenges. GRP has warned people to stay away from it and be sensible.
