Sushant’s Sisters Move Bombay High Court Seeking Cancellation Of FIR Against Them

Mumbai: Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh moved the Bombay High Court on Tuesday seeking cancellation of an FIR filed by Mumbai Police against them.

According to an NDTV report, petitioners Priyanka and Meetu claimed that the FIR was filed on the basis of media reports and there was a delay of 90 days in lodging the complaint.

The medicines were prescribed to SSR on June 8 and the complaint was lodged on September 7. Moreover, there is no evidence to show that the prescribed medicines were administered to SSR, stated the petition.

The FIR registered by the Mumbai Police, following Rhea’s complaint, is merely to frame SSR’s sisters and tarnish the late actor’s image, it said.

“A bare perusal of the complaint and the FIR shows it does not make out any cognisable offence. The drugs that have sought to be allegedly given by Dr Tarun Kumar are not banned,” said the petition filed by Priyanka and Meetu.

A division bench of Justices S.S. Shinde and M.S. Karnik posted the hearing of the plea to October 13, saying there was no urgency.

Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea had filed a complaint against the actor’s sisters for forgery and procuring fake medical prescriptions for their brother.
