Ayodhya: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust continues to enhance the facilities for devotees visiting the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. In the latest development, the trust has launched a special facility aimed at easing the pilgrimage experience for senior citizens and women with young children. Under this new initiative, senior citizens aged 70 and above, as well as women with infants, can now obtain a Sugam Darshan pass without needing prior approval from the trust.
Previously, women and elderly pilgrims faced challenges navigating long queues in crowded conditions, prompting the trust to introduce this streamlined service. Eligible visitors can now obtain the Sugam Darshan pass directly from a designated counter by simply presenting their Aadhaar card. The process takes just 10 minutes, allowing for quicker and more convenient access to the temple.
For those requiring additional assistance, such as wheelchairs, the trust has made provisions to provide these services free of charge. The initiative, which also allows a companion to accompany eligible pilgrims, has been warmly welcomed by devotees. Many visitors have expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful arrangements, highlighting the trust’s commitment to ensuring a comfortable and respectful experience for all.
In addition to the new Sugam Darshan service, the trust has organised community kitchens such as bhandaras and langars for the thousands of devotees who visit daily. These kitchens offer free prasad, serving traditional meals including potatoes, khichdi, rice, and puri sabzi, ensuring that no devotee leaves without receiving nourishment.
The ongoing developments at the Ram Temple reflect the trust’s dedication to continually improving the pilgrimage experience, making it more accessible and welcoming for all visitors.
