s launch, people across the country are wishing for its success. Renowned sand artist from Odisha, Sudarsan Pattnaik also joined in to wish Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) success with his latest artwork.
In the video shared by news agency ANI on X, Pattnaik in his sand art has shown Chandrayaan-3 making a successful landing on Moon’s south pole with an Indian flag placed there. “All the best Chandrayaan” is also written on the base of the art, while at the top left one can see “Jay Ho Isro” written.
Meanwhile, ISRO on Tuesday said the Chandrayaan 3 mission was on schedule and shared images of the Moon captured by the Lander Position Detection Camera (LPDC) from an altitude of about 70 km.
“The mission is on schedule. Systems are undergoing regular checks. Smooth sailing is continuing,” said ISRO in a tweet.
It is scheduled to land on the lunar south pole on August 23 at 6:04 pm IST, marking a historic moment for India.
The objectives of Chandrayaan-3 are to conduct in-situ experiments on the lunar soil and water, and demonstrate technologies that can be used for future crewed missions to the Moon and Mars.
The Chandrayaan-3 is likely to operate on the lunar surface for one lunar day, which is equivalent to 14 Earth days.
