New Delhi: The weather has drastically changed in the northern part of India. Late Monday night, a drizzle was also recorded in many towns of Uttar Pradesh, resulting in a slight dip in temperature. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for many states of the country. The department stated that the weather is going to change across the country due to the activation of a western disturbance.
Delhi also saw some light drizzle on Tuesday morning. According to the IMD, another western disturbance will be active from Saturday, February 8. Due to this disturbance, dense fog is expected in more than 10 states in the morning and evening hours until next Monday. It will also induce rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
On Tuesday, the IMD predicts rain in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Kerala—cloud cover over Jaipur, Bikaner in Rajasthan Clouds with light rain in some places. Meanwhile, after a slight change in weather on February 5, cold winds will run from the north, due to which temperature will decrease.
Similarly, a yellow alert has also been issued for dense fog in five districts of Bihar. Westerly winds are blowing at the moment. Because of this, the department has predicted dry weather and a clear sky in Bihar for the next five days.

On Wednesday, this disturbance is expected to induce scattered to moderate rain and snowfall activity in the western Himalayan region and light rain over the plains of northwest India. The western Himalayan region will also receive light rain and snowfall on Saturday and Sunday.
