New Delhi: Sushant’s Singh Rajput’s family has lodged a protest against the findings of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences panel, which ruled out that the actor was murdered, with the CBI and asked the investigative agency to form a fresh medical board to once again review the “dubious” autopsy reports.
Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha member and BJP leader Subramanian Swamy raised five questions before the Parliamentary Committee on how the AIIMS forensic team led by Dr Sudhir Gupta concluded suicide as the reason via the death and leaked the ‘controversial’ report to the media.
THE 5 QUESTIONS
- Whether the AIIMS team did a postmortem on the body of Sushant or was only forming an opinion about the postmortem report done already by the doctors of Cooper Hospital?
- Was Dr Sudhir Gupta advised by higher authorities in the Ministry to give media interviews even before the AIIMS Special team report was submitted?
- Did the AIIMS team examine the evidence of destruction, the hurried and truncated postmortem by the doctors at Cooper Hospital, and the non-sealing of the scene of the crime, by the Mumbai Police?
- Was there insufficient material from a forensic medical point of view for this AIIMS team taking a definite opinion on a cause of death?
- In view of the above, will the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare consider sending the matter to the Medical Board of the Ministry?
“I had sent a letter to the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Health regarding the SSR postmortem report and AIIMS media reported findings. What transpired I shall update shortly. A copy of my letter will be sent on Twitter soon. After the condolence meets expressing sorrow on Ram Vilas Paswan’s demise, the Committee adjourned to meet on October 16. Then Chairman told me that my letter is being sent to Health Secretary to hear my doubts on the AIIMS forensic team media released findings,” said Swamy.
