Simple Energy’s OneS, A New Electric Scooter With Improvements

New Delhi: Simple Energy has launched OneS, an electric scooter, adding to its portfolio. The OneS, thus, comes quite cheaper than the now-defunct Dot One, which was pegged at ₹1,46,216 (ex-showroom). This indicates that the OneS will be sold via all 15 Simple Energy showrooms in addition to it gaining presence in cities including Bangalore, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vizag, Kochi, and Mangalore.

Similar to the Simple One, the OneS features angular headlamps, sharp body panels, and a scooped tail with an upward-tilted seat section. This design is sporty and adds a charm to the dynamic look of the car. The OneS from the EV startup based in Bangalore also comes in four colours: brazen black, grace white, azure blue, and namma red.

Feature-wise, the OneS comes loaded with a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity and an option for a theme-based interface, app integration, turn-by-turn navigation, and over-the-air updates to provide riders with utmost comfort. It also comes with a 5G SIM, which the scooter can connect to the internet using Wi-Fi.

Other OneS features include “Find My Vehicle,” Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), regenerative and quick braking systems, and a fresh park assist function that enables assistance in both forward and reverse. As per Simple Energy, the new OneS is much better than the Dot One.

The OneS is powered by a fixed 3.7 kWh battery pack that enables a 181 km electric range on a single charge; that’s 21 kilometres more than the Dot One. It uses an 8.5 kW electric motor and has 4 ride modes—Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic. Sonic mode allows the scooter to hit 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 105 km/h.
