New Delhi: December 8, 2023 The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has apprehended two individuals suspected of involvement in a shooting incident linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldi Brar gang. The incident targeted the house of a former Punjab MLA and businessman in Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh on December 3rd.
The investigation into the case intensified after CCTV footage captured the attack, revealing the involvement of two unidentified shooters. Initial reports suggest the motive was extortion, with the gang potentially targeting other wealthy individuals disguised as Punjabi businessmen.
Following the incident, a joint operation involving Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana authorities was launched to dismantle the gang and apprehend the perpetrators. This swift action resulted in the successful capture of the two shooters.
Meanwhile, investigations continue into the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, where two gunmen believed to be affiliated with the Bishnoi-Brar gang are suspected to be involved. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the murder.
