New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday thundered that the people of Bihar have firmly rejected “those out on bail,” celebrating the NDA’s historic landslide in the state assembly polls as a resounding mandate for good governance and development.

Arriving at the BJP headquarters amid jubilant crowds, Modi waved a gamchha— a nod to his campaign trail flair — before addressing workers with a resounding “Jai Chhathi Maiya.”. “This crushing victory has shattered all doubts; Bihar’s people have once again chosen the NDA,” he declared, crediting the electorate for breaking voting records and delivering the biggest mandate since 2010.

Modi lambasted the Opposition, asserting that the era of “jungle raj and gun-toting governments” stands buried forever. “When I spoke of lawlessness, RJD stayed silent, but Congress squirmed. Today, Bihar votes for a developed future — no more bail-jumpers in power,” he said, highlighting peaceful polling even in former Naxal hotspots, with zero repolls in two phases compared to hundreds in the 1990s.

“This triumph belongs not just to NDA but to democracy itself, reinforcing faith in the Election Commission,” Modi added, recalling days when booths were looted and voting ended at 3 pm out of fear. With NDA leading on 201 of 243 seats — BJP at 90 and JD(U) at 83— the win cements BJP as Bihar’s largest party.

In a pre-speech social media post, Modi hailed it as a “victory of Su Shasan,”, vowing to empower youth and women while boosting infrastructure and cultural heritage. “This mandate fuels our resolve to serve and propel Bihar forward,” he concluded.
